Rick was born in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. His watercolour impressions draw great watercolour inspiration from the Australian land and seascapes, including the Perth Hills, regional Western Australia and abroad.

Rick has a science degree from UWA and has been associated with the environmental sector since graduating. He is currently involved in air and water compliance monitoring for large resource sector companies operating in the Western Australian region.

Rick has received expert art tuition over the years and now is regularly called on to participate in exhibitions.

Rick exhibits at his home studio in Perth and at a range of venues in Western Australia including schools, local government and charity exhibitions, and Perth galleries. He has also exhibited in France.

Works can be purchased framed or unframed and in various sizes from quite large to small.
Commissioned works are also undertaken. Rick will gladly discuss any enquiries for commissioned works. He has produced custom pieces for private collectors in charcoal and watercolour.
